Since 1947, CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange, has been in pursuit of its mission, "to help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge, and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world."
Throughout our history, we have had the unique opportunity to serve this mission by helping people study, work, and teach abroad enabling them to contribute to a global society and gain a sense of personal fulfillment.
We have a 30 year history of operating educational exchange programs between the U.S. and China, and today have a well-established presence on four major university campuses, along with two offices in Shanghai, and a network of trusted local representatives covering major student centers across the country.
