Partnerships with Schools & Universities in China

CIEE started its first study abroad program in 1980 for U.S. students coming to China, and over the last three decades have hosted thousands of students at our study centers in Shanghai, Beijing, and Nanjing.

Our study centers are based on the campuses of the following top-ranked universities:

  • CIEE Study Center at Peking University
  • CIEE Study Center at East China Normal University
  • CIEE Study Center at Nanjing University
  • CIEE Study Center at Minzu University of China

In addition, CIEE facilitates and manages ongoing relationships with secondary and tertiary level institutions and Boards of Education and currently has a network of over 65 schools, colleges, and universities who have supported the Teach in China program in recent years.

CIEE also works with a carefully selected group of local Chinese representatives to recruit hundreds of college, university, and high school students each year to participate on our cultural exchange programs to the U.S., including USA High School, Work & Travel USA, Global Leader Internship, and Hometown USA. Our J-1 participant group comes from over 80 different universities and colleges across China. CIEE supports its representative network by participating in various campus meetings and university presentations.
